Love Laundry Awards 2025 now open for entries
WASHCO are pleased to launch the fifth edition of the Love Laundry Awards.
The awards highlight the great work taking place in care home laundries around the country and recognise the professionals committed to delivering outstanding outcomes at every level.
2025 marks a change, with new categories added to the awards to reflect the themes that emerged from previous years’ nominations.
The Love Laundry Awards are now open for entries. Laundry heroes can be nominated under one of the following categories:
- Laundry Hero Award
The flagship category recognises an individual who has gone above and beyond the call of duty in the laundry room. Whether they work hard day in and day out to achieve the highest standards, show care and dedication to residents’ well-being or demonstrate outstanding commitment to infection prevention, this award recognises their exceptional care and dedication.
- Laundry Sustainability Award
This brand-new category for 2025 celebrates environmental sustainability initiatives. Whether it is a care home, a laundry team or a laundry staff member, we are looking for those who champion more sustainable laundry practices.
- Laundry Leadership Award
This new category aims to acknowledge exceptional leadership in the laundry space. Whether on a large or small scale, we want to honour an individual or a group of people who drive a vision for best practices and excellence in laundry operations.
- Laundry Trailblazer Award
New for 2025, this award is dedicated to trailblazers. Someone or a group of people who challenge the accepted and make a change for the better, bringing innovation to the laundry room.
Previous winners have expressed their gratitude, saying “this award means the absolute world” and mentioned how winning “this award is just fantastic” and how “they have been overwhelmed to have been acknowledged in this way”.
The winners of each category will receive £250 to spend on electrical goods and receive press coverage to showcase their exceptional achievements.
The winners of the three awards will be announced at the Care Show in Birmingham this October.
