A winning combination of Miele and WASHCONNECT equipment transform the laundry operations at Whatley Manor.

Requirement

Whatley Manor is a prestigious hotel boasting 23 rooms, a spa and Michelin star restaurant. Due to its outstanding reputation, it is essential their laundry equipment produces effective results and sufficiently supports their superior facilities 24/7. With performance a significant issue with their existing equipment, the hotel approached the team here at WASHCO for a long-lasting, robust replacement.

Solution

After completing a detailed plan of the space available and considering their need for reliability and efficiency, we recommended two 24kg Miele Professional washing machines and two 24kg WASHCONNECT machines with built-in fire suppression.

The unique infrastructure of the WASHCONNECT machines enables remote diagnosis and end-user alerts, helping minimise downtime for the hotel’s busy laundry operations.

An unconventional installation

To overcome narrow doorways and the difficult location of the laundry room within Whatley Manor, we dismantled the new machines at our facility in Fareham. Once transported, the machines were directed through tight window wells and service lifts in the hotel before being reconstructed from the ground up in their final location.

The hotel remained open throughout the installation, so it was important that guests were not disrupted throughout the process. By utilising our previous experience and detailed planning, we executed the challenging installation successfully, much to the delight of our client.
